Southall arrived at Hanwell Town unbeaten in the league and looking to maintain their march to title glory.
Hanwell Town started lively and shocked the Southall players who were thinking this would be an easy game against a team on a long losing streak.
Hanwell push and forced the play into the Southall half and saw a great move finished off by Lucas Chancellor which beat the keeper but not the post and saw the ball roll along the goal line.
Soon after Southall struck the Hanwell post with a great long range shot, after the early exchanges the game was end to end but without any clear chances to beat either keeper.
Southall usually play with one defender but had to drop another back plus play their left and right midfielders deep.
The deadlock was broken in the 8th minute when Southall scrambled in the ball into the net after Hanwell failed to clear the ball from their area.
On 15 minutes Jehovanie Djela replaced Patrick Przybysz and saw him play a man of the man performance.
Then on 16 minutes Lucas pop up at the far post to score Hanwell's equaliser after great play down Hanwell's left side: Alican Calim made a super pass to find Ted Perrin who delivered a perfect cross to the far post which Lucas ran onto to level the score.
More Hanwell subs on 22 minutes saw Micah Ansah and Oliver Heyes replace Rene Barnes and Jack Maiden, both teams battled to the half time break, making 1-1.
The second half saw Josh Ruddock on for George Powell in defence along side Jehovanie. The game was just as tight but Southall now trying to push and attack the Hanwell goal but Tom Sloley kept them out.
Rene Barnes sub on for Jorge Bishop on 12 minutes then on 15 minutes Oliver saw a great long shot sale over the bar.
The winning goal for Southall came in the 25 minute from a free kick just outside the Hanwell box, the free kick itself was saved by Tom but followed up by Southall player Jack who was quick to react to the lose ball.
The entertainment wasn't over, Hanwell now played with 4 in the front line and were pushing for the equaliser which so nearly came from a cracking long shot of 25 yards from Oliver but the Southall keeper leaped amazingly to stop the ball hitting the top corner of the goal, a fitting end to a great game of football played in the right spirit by footballers.
Jamie & Lee were disappointed with the result but seeing a good game of football kept us buzzing. Well done to all who entertained us.
