Strong Southall out gun Hanwell Town.

A very hot and sunny day in a hidden location saw Southall show why they are unbeaten in the league this year.
Southall had a new player in defence allowing Zico to play in midfield and was to strong for Hanwell has he bossed the game playing in the Southall attackers time after time, putting pressure on George Powell and Tom Sloley.
it only took 3 minutes for Southall to break the deadlock from a corner which found the smallest player on the pitch unmarked at the back post to HEAD in the ball.
Hanwell played with 3 attackers but they seemed to keep coming looking for the ball in the middle of the big pitch.
After 6 minutes though Ted Perrin beat the last Southall defender Connor and was 1v1 with the keeper to beat, but choose to dribble past the advancing keeper which he did well but went wide making his shot harder and eventually hitting the side netting.
Then on 8 minutes Micah Ansah was played in by Rene Barnes, Micah beat 2 players but elected to shot from an impossible angle instead of passing to the unmarked Rene now waiting on the penalty spot, the Southall keeper marking safe the Hanwell attack with ease.
This was a good period of play for Hanwell because on 10 minutes Micah had another chance to score, this time Rene beat 2 players and got to the by-line then passed to Micah, but the ball bobbled just has Micah went to strike it with his left foot and over the bar it went.
Micah and a few players seem to think it wasn't going to be Hanwell's day especially when the tall Southall player ran from midfield beating 3 Hanwell players before shooting from outside the box to score making it 2-0
But thanks to Tom Sloley with some great goalkeeping and playing like an extra defender Hanwell was still in the game at half time: 2-0.
Refreshed with oranges, water and sweets, Hanwell went out to the second half fired up and scored within 5 minutes when Rene's corner was scrambled in by Lucas Chancellor at the near post, 2-1 game on.
The next 10 minutes was end to end attacking from both teams with good saves from both keepers.
Ted Perrin had another great chance saved by the Southall keeper, along with some good shots on the Southall goal from Rene Barnes, Jehovanie Djela and Oliver Heyes all saved by the Southall goalie.
Southall attacked with greater speed and 12 minutes into the second half made it 3-1 and with a penalty 10 minutes later put the game and the three points to bed, although we thought the decision a bit harsh from the Southall parent ref. Jack the Southall player pushing the ball past the advancing Tom and with the ball running out of play ran into Tom flooring them both. Zico scored the pen only just going under Tom's driving body.
With less than 10 minutes to play Hanwell played with 4 attackers but made them targets for the counter attack which Tom cleared up nicely.
Some of the Hanwell players heads dropped after the penalty but some got on with trying to play football with some fight and determination especially Oliver, Jehovanie, Ted, Tom and George Powell.
Well done to all the players against very good opposition and i'm sure everybody would have learnt a lot from this match.
