Hanwell Town beat league leaders Ballers FC

After losing 0-8 at home to Ballers FC at home back in November the Red team showed how much ever player has developed and improved.
A Hanwell Town victory with a scorline of 1-3 didn't reflect the wonderful performance and had everyone buzzing even the Ballers coach who was stunned by the speed, strength and skill of the Hanwell's players. His comments after the match said it all 'we were lucky it was not 10 or more' adding that he liked the way Hanwell played, 'strong, fast and with a good attitude'. Very pleasing for all the Hanwell coaches to hear.
Ballers scored first after 11 minutes and we feared a repeat of the last result, especially after so many 1v1 against the Ballers keeper were not converted then our goalkeeper Parsa got injured and had to be replaced with Hugo going in goal after his little spell playing in midfield.
I counted seven 1v1's before Ibrahim Al-Libawi slotted home after Hanif Sheikh had laid a lovely through pass to him.
Then Hansif was rewarded with a goal after D'Andre Peters-Ennis had played a great pass to put Hanif in 1v1 on the Ballers keeper.
1-2 at half time and Hanwell in control but not got the game won.
Hanwell continued to be the better team in the second half showing strength in their challenges and speed when attacking but still not converting chance after chance due to good goalkeeping and bad finishing.
At least another 10 chances were missed before Parsa now back in goal saved at the feet of a Ballers player through on the Hanwell goal, a great save to keep Hanwell in front. Just after that on 50 minutes Hanwell finally put he game to bed when Ibrahim got his second of the match after great passing play from Saleem and Hanif to put Ibrahim in on goal.
1-3 the final score was a good result although it should have been more, but the performance was great, the best of the season and knocking Ballers FC off top spot making Townmead FC champions.

Goal scorers: Ibrahim 2, Hanif 1

Man of the match : Every Hanwell player
Special mention to Parsa, D'Andre, Kai, Ibrahim & Hanif.
Super performance lads.

Last match of the season Sunday 04/05/14 at Home to Old Actonians Blue.
